Yes. Designing in the Design Studio is free. You only pay when you check out for prints or a digital file.
Printed comp cards and headshots come in sets of 50, 75 or 100.
Open the Design Studio and either start from a template or upload finished artwork. With a template, you add and crop your photos, then enter your name, stats and contact details.
Yes. Upload your finished front and back artwork and go straight to your proof. PDF is preferred, and JPG or PNG files are accepted up to 50 MB. See the Photo & File Guide for sizes and bleed.
Yes. You preview both sides exactly as they’ll print, and nothing prints until you approve it. If you change anything after approving, you’ll review a new proof first.
Put your strongest current headshot and your name on the front. On the back, add 3–5 photos that show your range, plus your stats and contact details. Always follow your agency’s requirements.
Yes. Upload your résumé as a PDF, Word or image file and we’ll print it on the back for $5, so there’s nothing to trim or staple. You can also choose a photo grid for the back, or leave it blank at no extra cost.
No. Model Platform designs and prints comp cards and headshots from photos you already have. We’re not a photography studio, modeling agency or casting service.
Comp cards are 5.5 × 8.5 inches and headshots are 8 × 10 inches. Both are printed in full color on thick 16 pt card stock.
Yes. Comp cards come in matte or glossy, and headshots in matte or glossy UV, at the same price. Matte reduces glare and is easy to write or sign on; glossy makes colors and skin tones pop.
Use the original high-resolution file from your photographer, and aim for 300 DPI at print size. For a sharp 8×10 headshot, that’s at least 2400 × 3000 pixels. Avoid screenshots and photos saved from social media. The Photo & File Guide has the full specs.
Very closely, but not exactly. Screens and printed card stock show color differently, so slight differences are normal in commercial printing. Natural, well-lit photos without heavy filters print best.
We ship printed orders to the United States and Canada.
Standard shipping is included in every U.S. printed order. Orders to Canada add $3.
Orders approved before 1 p.m. ET on a business day go into production by the next business day. Most orders then arrive within 3–5 business days after they ship. See Shipping & Production for details.
Not at the moment. If you have a casting or audition coming up, order at least 7 business days ahead.

The web-ready file ($14.99) is sized for casting profiles, email submissions and social media. The print-ready file ($29) is high resolution with bleed so any printer can use it, and it includes the web-ready file.
Yes. Every printed order includes a free web-ready file. You can upgrade to the print-ready file for $15.
Digital files are ready to download right after checkout.
Email support@modelplatform.com as soon as possible. If production hasn’t started, we may be able to make a change or cancel, but it isn’t guaranteed. Once an order is in production, it generally can’t be changed or canceled.
Because every comp card and headshot is made just for you, custom printed products are final sale once they’ve entered production. That’s why you approve a proof first. See our Returns & Refunds Policy.
If your order arrives damaged, incorrect or with a printing defect, email support@modelplatform.com within 5 business days of receiving it. Include your order number and clear photos of the issue (and of the packaging if it was damaged in shipping). For verified errors, we’ll make it right with a reprint, credit or refund.
